Giving Every Kid a Place To Play

The Cy-Hope Youth Sports Complex was born out of firsthand experience—we know how hard it can be to find safe, quality fields where kids can simply play the game they love. Too often, limited access and poor conditions stand in the way of what should be a joyful, formative experience.

That’s why we set out to create something different.

Today, our complex is home to the Dierker’s Champs, a Cy-Hope non-profit baseball league built to give kids in Cy-Fair a place to play, grow, and belong. Guided by the legendary Larry Dierker, former Houston Astros All-Star pitcher and manager, we’ve created more than just a league—we’ve built a space where quality fields, supportive coaching, and a strong sense of community come together.

Because when kids have a safe place to play, everything changes.

And now, those same high-quality fields are available for others to enjoy. Whether you're hosting a practice, game, or tournament, our complex offers a safe, well-maintained space for teams and organizations looking for a place to play.

The Dierker’s Champs Story

In the beginning, Cy-Hope funded two elementary school baseball teams. Many of these kids had never seen a glove or bat, let alone played catch. Many families couldn’t afford the Cy-Fair Sports Association (CFSA) fees, so we sponsored them. They were beaten badly game after game. Fortunately, they still enjoyed playing.

After three years, CFSA eliminated the “Friendship” level of competition. Our two schools weren’t ready to play “Select” or “Elite” baseball. They weren’t even close to this level of play. This is when we made the decision to disband our two teams.

After a year of inactivity of our sponsored teams, we formed an alliance with SpringSpirit, a baseball program with similar goals - good baseball and good family values. SpringSpirit brought us back to life, but they were growing too. In 2018, we started our own league serving Title I elementary and middle schools in CFISD.

Fast forward to 2026, Dierker’s Champs has grown to 36 teams and we have just opened the Cy-Hope Youth Sports Complex, a dedicated facility with three fields, four batting cages, concessions, restrooms, and parking—giving every child a place to play, grow, and thrive.
